This Shaker Walnut Shaker Trestle Table was originally designed for a client who wanted a table similar to my Cherry Shaker Trestle Table but smaller with a square edge table top. Available in Cherry or Walnut hardwoods in a boat shape or a more traditional rectangular shaped top. It is a strong and elegant table that will enhance any dining experience.
Joinery/Construction Details: Traditional mortise and tenon joinery is used to create a very solid 1 3/4″ thickness base. The trestle cross-beam features two keyed tusk tenons that tie the legs together. The top is made from hand-selected walnut hardwoods for consistency in color and grain.
Finish: Hand-rubbed with natural tung oil and then waxed. A sprayed lacquer finish is also available for high traffic applications.
