Construction Details

vermont made cherry wood dresserI use an appropriate combination of modern and traditional furniture-making techniques to craft each item. I use dovetail, mortise-and-tenon, and pegged joinery for strength through simplicity. Hand rubbed natural oils bring out the natural beauty of the wood in each piece. From rural vernacular to formal period furniture, I strive to create synergy between the unique character of the selected wood and the elements of structure and design.

I use high quality raw materials in my work. From top grade lumber with rich grains to high quality hardware, I hand select the items I will use to match the design concept and to provide you many years of enjoyment and function.

I work with maple, cherry, walnut, and sustainably harvested mahogany.
