Ordering

Telephone Orders:

To order by phone call 802-748-5824. Calling is the best way to initiate an order for a custom piece.

Ordering In Person

Please make an appointment to visit my studio in St. Johnsbury, Vermont to order in-person. We are located about 3 miles from I-91 (exit 22) in Vermont. For driving directions....

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available for any amount up to $1500. Call me at 802-748-5824 or use my contact form.

Payment

Payment may be made by personal check, bank check and cash. We require a sixty percent deposit to start your order, with the balance plus shipping and/or tax due upon completion. For custom pieces, once the proposal is approved, a deposit of 60% is requested to secure a place in my workshop schedule. Upon receipt of your deposit your order will be scheduled for production and we will notify you of the estimated completion date. Once an order is in production the deposit becomes non-refundable. Final payment is required one week before shipping. Orders that are delivered or shipped to Vermont addresses or picked up at our shop are subject to Vermont 6% sales tax.

Shipping

I use a variety of shipping methods and will provide a price quote for the best method. Shipping charges will depend on the number of pieces and the delivery address. Payment for shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. If you have any questions about shipping please don't hesitate to call me at 802-748-5824 or use my contact form.

Most often I suggest blanket-shipped--also called "white glove"--for it offers the safest method of delivery for fine furniture. Your order is blanket-wrapped in our shop, picked up and delivered directly to your home, where it is placed (and set up depending on the piece). This service ensures that your furniture is not passed from depot to depot or truck to truck and it greatly reduces risk of damage.

I may personally deliver within a half day drive of my shop in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. You may also make your own arrangements for pick-up from our shop. Orders picked up at the shop as well as orders shipped or delivered to Vermont addresses are subject to Vermont 6% sales tax.

Lead Time

Lead time generally runs about 12-16 weeks from receipt of deposit, and orders are filled on a first-in, first-served basis.

Guarantee

Woods and materials are hand-selected, and I utilize the finest hardware to ensure lasting quality. My furniture is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser. Due to a myriad of factors that are beyond my control once furniture leaves the shop, the guarantee does not apply to components such as the finish and hardware, and environmental factors such as normal wear and tear or abuse, misuse or neglect. If you experience a problem with your furniture you may return it to my shop and I will make necessary repairs. Returns

I do not accept returns of any customized furniture. In my 15 years of building furniture I have never had a piece of furniture returned. However, I want you to be satisfied with your purchase from Hawk Ridge Furniture. If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with a standard, non-customized piece of furniture you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price. You are responsible for payment of return shipping charges and the original shipping costs will not be refunded. The piece must be in resalable condition. Purchaser must call for a return authorization before returning any furniture.
